Muslim Girls Fence
'Muslim Girls Fence' is a collaboration between Maslaha and British Fencing aiming to challenge misperceptions of and raise aspirations among young Muslim women, in the light of the complex discrimination experienced by this group on the basis of both faith and gender.

Currently I am working on MGF as a facilitator and project coordinator, working with both adult women in community centres and girls in schools across the UK. We deliver creative workshops alongside the fencing sessions with the aim of creating a save space for the girls and women to explore topics such as stereotypes, identity, intersectionality and solidarity and express themselves in creative way.
